Sketches from my Window

We're having a cold snap.  My driveway is ice.  Schools are closed.  Birds are eagerly coming to our offerings.  The robins picked my hawthorn tree almost clean about a week ago, but one came to check on the last few berries.  He ate one but didn't seem to like swallowing frozen hardballs.
My husband and I have been taking turns getting up at first light and getting a humming bird feeder hung for this sweet little Anna's hummingbird.  This morning it only took two hours for the fresh feeder to freeze so switched it with another I was keeping warm in the living room.

  1. Elva, I always enjoy your sketches SO much...they really capture the liveliness of these creatures.
