Last March or April we witnessed a baby dove fledge and I have wanted to paint it ever since.
I finally did.
Such a cute ball of fluff.

Dead Dove Study--Teri Casper

My husband has been working overtime finding things for me to sketch. He came in the other day with a dead dove in his hands and it was still warm so he must have found it right after it died.
I later found a huge smear on the porch window where it must have hit, probably flying from a predator.
So I took it on the porch, pinned it and sketched it. And yes, it was really dead.
Poor dove had one more thing to do and that was to let me sketch it.
