Somewhat metaphysical... the preliminary sketches and a few more thoughts can be found on my blog. Enjoy Fall all of you who happen to be in our hemisphere!
So, thank you all; this time I experimented with tinting the background in watercolour: translucent brown by Schminke, that I ADORE- just like caramel- and a little indigo at one side. Then I drew freehand and painted with patient little strokes the beautiful stripes of indigo and red. The lighter underside- or inside- of the pod is done in gouache. I like them floating in the air like this.
Lovely Concetta! Would you tell us about that background please?
ReplyDeleteConcetta, this is beautiful and the background is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful, rich color...
ReplyDeleteConcetta, this piece is so sophisticated.... possibly a weird word for art, but that's what came to mind along with stunning!
