Little stint (Calidris minuta) by Maria Elena Ferrari

Tiding up my studio I found this sketch of Little stint (Calidris minuta) made in 2008, who knows what will come out at the end of reorganization??

  1. It's a lovely drawing, Maria! Are they shorebirds?

  2. Thank you Cynthia! Yes Kate, it's a very small shorebird (wingspan only 28-31 cm), breeds on tundra (Arctic Europe and Asia) and wintering in south Africa and Asia, I observed this in Enza river during migration period.
