From your excellent rendering, this looks like pokeberry to me. Some parts are poisonous, some edible, better look it up ot talk to an expert...I've never tried it! It's quite a handsome plant, and I think you captured it beautifully!
yep, I would agree that it looks like poke. I've always heard that the berries are poisonous; but the young leaves are edible. Quite bitter and not a plant that I would care to eat, although my grandmother loved to fix it. (As in the song, "Poke Salad Annie"...) GREAT drawing! :-D Pull it up -- throw it away! It is poke berry it my understanding ink can be made with it.
