NUTHATCH ON AN OAK TREE

We've just come back from a trip in the camper car and I've found lots of nature to draw.  Here's a nuthatch Bob spotted on the oak tree next to our pitch at Pornic.  I tried to draw him from life but was not quick enough to capture any more than a couple of scribbles of the head.  So I've had to copy this from the field guide on top of them to record the moment.  The leaves are drawn from life of course!

    1. Thanks Elva, this one was very colourful too, we heard him tapping the tree trunk every day but he stayed out of sight.
