Sketching at the end of the world

I just arrived from Ushuaia  Argentina , the southernmost city in the world.
a long journey from Colombia, but worth it.
This is an Imperial cormorant Leucocarbo atriceps  we saw in the middle of the Beagle Channel.

    I love the blend of colours to produce that iridescence in the feathers - such attention to fine detail! And why do artists always have the most beautiful handwriting? ;-)
