Street Saguaro

Street Saguaro by Teri DC
Street Saguaro, a photo by Teri DC on Flickr.
This Saguaro is across and down the street from us. I always feel bad when I see it because of all the damage.
The top has been broken off.
The trunk is full of bird holes.
Being on a busy road has exposed it to way too much exhaust and smog.
And it has been so neglected.

So I stopped one day to sketch it and share it with you to let you know not all Saguaros are happy.

  1. And yet it lives on! Your drawing honors it, Teri. Thank you.

  2. Poor thing! Our modern world all too often infringes on the old. This drawing is a strong statement on that subject. Good Work.
