Winter Blooms

Winter Blooms by Teri DC
Winter Blooms, a photo by Teri DC on Flickr.
I always leave my flowers on their stems all winter so the birds have snacks and I have a winter landscape (who knew I would actually see it this year!).

These are dried blooms from coneflowers and hydrangea and when I was walking to the mailbox I noticed how pretty they looked, so I sketched them.
I did this sketch on my new Stillman&Birns Delta sketchbook. Oh, talk about beautiful paper!

I did a pen sketch with my new Micron pens and then added a bit of watercolor and notice I even used my lettering. Such fun.
