This started out as a coloured pencil drawing as that is the easiest medium to use for the delicate leaves. I love the plant for the way the flowers change colour as they mature and the fascinating seed pods which last for ages and give me next year's flowers without any effort on my part! I added the misty background later to go with the name by rubbing on pastels with a bit of felt wrapped around my finger. I hate the mess involved with pastels so this the only way I can use up my collection!
This is a very nice page Valerie. You've captured the prickly look but the actual softness of these fun little blooms so well.
