I hope it's okay to post these images here. They are part of nature after all. I was fooling around with quick pencil sketches that I then added watercolor to on the top and bottom ones. The one in the middle was done with a General black pencil that I added water to. I did them very quickly but was pretty happy with the result. I think I'm going to stop laboring over my work and just do stuff like this. It's so satisfying.

  1. They are so loose and charming!
Lovely. You can tell how much you enjoyed sketching each one.

  3. Love the curiosity and attention in that center one! Isn't it interesting to note what quadrupeds have in common?

  4. You really captured these felines beautifully! As marancat said, you've got their "essence". I like your sketching technique, too.

  5. How well you know cats! They inspire me to try this and draw some pictures of my three.

Thanks for letting us see them.

  6. Your cats look so soft. Good sketches. I like the water/paintbrush over the pencil sketch. I've got to try that.

  8. I love my cats, so seeing your sketches of your cats brought smiles to my face. I like your style. The middle one is up to something for sure!
