I hope it's okay to post these images here. They are part of nature after all. I was fooling around with quick pencil sketches that I then added watercolor to on the top and bottom ones. The one in the middle was done with a General black pencil that I added water to. I did them very quickly but was pretty happy with the result. I think I'm going to stop laboring over my work and just do stuff like this. It's so satisfying.
love these
ReplyDeleteThey are so loose and charming!
ReplyDeleteLovely. You can tell how much you enjoyed sketching each one.

These are really lovely - 'essence of cat!'
ReplyDeleteLove them!!
ReplyDeleteLove the curiosity and attention in that center one! Isn't it interesting to note what quadrupeds have in common?
ReplyDeleteYou really captured these felines beautifully! As marancat said, you've got their "essence". I like your sketching technique, too.
ReplyDeleteHow well you know cats! They inspire me to try this and draw some pictures of my three.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us see them.
Gorgeous! I love these.
ReplyDeleteYour cats look so soft. Good sketches. I like the water/paintbrush over the pencil sketch. I've got to try that.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful examples of capturing expressions in an animal.
ReplyDeleteI love my cats, so seeing your sketches of your cats brought smiles to my face. I like your style. The middle one is up to something for sure!
