Puffy Weed Seed

There are these big fluffy weed seed balls on the lake path. Not sure which plant it is but they are twice as big as a dandelion puff.
I thought it would be fun to give it a shot to paint it.
It was fun.

    Pretty! I've seen these too...trying to remember what they are. Salsify. maybe?

    Mistress of Longears identified this as a
    " Tragopon dubius or yellow salsify. Yes, it's like a dandelion on steroids!"
