Juvenile Grey Heron

This is a young bird that has taken up residence in the harbour, much to the annoyance of an adult bird which seems not to want to share the easier pickings provided by the fishing fleet.
Sketched with pencil and watercolour and coloured pencil added afterwards.

  2. He's a beauty, Phil...bet he sticks around. Funny, we've had lots more herons and egrets because of the flood. Opportunists!
