Sketching Geese and Goslings - Mary Richmond

Yesterday I planned to spend most of the day outside exploring, sketching and painting. A huge thunderstorm and later tornado watch changed those plans pretty quickly though it ended up the tornado watch really was for west of us. I did manage to sketch these Canada geese and also some wildflowers I found along my walks.
I blogged the whole walk at my Cape Cod Art and Nature Blog. If you click on the picture above, check out the pair of goslings all cuddled up together on the upper right--this was how I found them after the big storm had passed. Pretty cute, huh?

  2. Great sketches, Mary. I, too, love watching Canada Geese. They can really keep you busy trying to capture all their neck positions :)
