Blue Toadflax

Blue Toadflax by Teri DC
Blue Toadflax, a photo by Teri DC on Flickr.
These 'Blue Toadflax' are blooming along the roadside so I borough one home to sketch. They are such a pretty delicate flower.
They are a light blue violet and belong to the snapdragon family.

They like open, dry and sandy soil so they are at home around here with our sandy soil. They will bloom April through September.

  1. Very nice Teri. If you see any bird's foot violets in that sand, think of me. They are one of my very favorite flowers.
