Tree Fuchsia flower - Maree

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
- Anais Nin (French born American Author of novels and short stories, 1903-1977)

This was my first sketch of trying out my watercolour pencils, which I'd never used before and acquired at the end of last year. The Tree Fuchsia (Haleria lucida) was at the end of her flowering cycle and sporting all these lovely rose-hip type seed pods.
