As long as I'm playing catch-up, here's a quick sketch I did before church last week. I was surprised to see crocuses in the next door neighbor's yard and did a quick sketch from our parking lot.
One week later, the patch has filled out to be a solid mass of blooms about 1 square foot. I think these flowers are the source for saffron.
