It has been raining so much here lately, but we've got a few breaks here and there. This is something I drew on one of those "break" days. I have many mature Japanese maple trees on my property and this is my favorite one. I am currently making a pen and ink and watercolor wash painting with this same tree in it, so this was sort of a practice drawing. I'm just trying to work out the best way of inking this to best show off the awesomeness of this tree.
A super specimen! Just look at the size of that trunk!
