Books we like...featuring Irene Brady's book

You may have noticed we have a link to an online bookstore on the left side of this page, featuring nature books and books by naturalist-artists, each with a brief review. (Do let me know if you have a special favorite or have discovered a new one I haven't reviewed!)

The image will change from time to time, but just wanted to draw (ouch, bad pun!) your attention to the fact that the current one is by one of our own Sketching in Nature correspondents, Irene Brady!

Illustrating Nature: Right-Brain Art in a Left-Brain World is an investment well worth making, if you want to learn more about drawing in nature and how and when to do it. My copy is a permanent part of my library!

Irene teaches wonderful workshops and has written a number of books--don't miss her website at Nature Works Press for more information!

We've got a lot of talent represented here...wish there were more books written by our correspondents to show you (and again, if you know of one I don't or if you've written one, please let me know!)

Congratulations, Irene, I hope your book is going gangbusters...the cover alone is SO inviting...
