Cricket & Page 13 in the Bug Journal

I have not been doing very well about posting very regularly.... I see it has been over a week with no posts.... The Master Naturalist spring training class is over so now I will have more time and I will do better. To celebrate the end of class I did a field cricket to finish off page 13 in the Bug Journal. Here is a close up of the cricket and of the finished page. These are ink & watercolor in a Moleskine Watercolour Journal.

  1. Your cricket looks so life-like! I like the shadow on all of your objects too. Very nice :)

  4. What a great page! I like the shadows, too...they seem ready to jump off the page.

  6. Aha! So that was a stinkbug I saw in the woods today! Thanks for the ID...I'm quite ignorant about bugs. Your cricket is a masterpiece!
