STAIRCASE PLANT

During my stay with my daughter I was admiring this tall plant in her garden so she invited me to pick some stems to draw.  I used my new Derwent line painter pens and really enjoyed the effect.  This is set no 2 which also has 2 shades of blue which I'm still looking for a good subject to use them on.

  1. It's lovely! I don't think I've ever heard of it, Valerie.

  2. Beautifully done Valerie, I recognised it immediately from your sketch! Also known as "Wild Dagga" here in South Africa, "dagga" meaning marijuana, don't know why, but it's a lovely plant, grows wild next to our roadsides.
