Sketching Along the Coquille River

After being all too busy for the past couple of weeks, I had the opportunity today to do some field sketches.  The first two are both along the Coquille River, the first a few miles from the mouth of the river and the second only about a mile from the mouth.  The Coquille empties intro the Pacific Ocean at Bandon, Oregon.
This one is a two minute walk from the mouth of the Coquille River.  The old pilings used to hold rafts of logs.  We've visited this spot regularly for over thirty years .... and watched the pilings slowly age.  In the meantime they make wonderful perches for a variety of gulls, cormorants, crows, ....

  2. Lovely paintings! I was able to visit this area over the summer and think it's a beautiful place.
