Saucy Little Chippy
I was totally entertained with this little chipmunk. My daughter's two Golden Retrievers are in the kitchen avidly watching this chippy perform all kinds of antics: running, eating and sleeping as though she knows perfectly well that she is safe on the other side. Drives the dogs nuts and if she could smirk she would be doing it. Small things like this are so delightful and entertaining!
Painted on Stillman and Birns Beta sketchbook. I so love that paper!

oh so cute - it's funny to think these are probably as common as squirrels are in our gardens in the UK!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that we can find entertainment in nature Teri! gorgeous sketch! Wehave no squirrels here in South Africa, the closest is the Groundhog, tiny squirrel-like beauties who either live in the ground (like Meerkats) or up on the trees. Great that you get to watch him every day!
DeleteThanks. Those chippies entertain so many people. Funny that they are common in the US and UK and not in SA. Maree, you must do a sketch of your groundhog so we can see what it looks like.
DeleteI'd love to do a sketch Teri, but will have to find a photograph as we do not have any nearby us. And they're very skittish, bolt for their holes the minute they see someone!
DeleteAdorable! and from your words I can certainly picture your dogs going crazy!
ReplyDeleteHow funny, Teri! Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteThis is great Teri. I can just imagine Chippy doing a teasing happy dance in front of the dogs. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteYour chippy probably is smirking! I can just see it teasing your dogs!
