Sneezeweed

Sneezeweed by Teri DC
Sneezeweed, a photo by Teri DC on Flickr.
This daisy-like bloom is called 'Sneezeweed' and the scientific name is 'Helenium Autumnal'. I found it in my step-daughter's garden and that's when I realized I have some in my garden and never knew that was it's name.

  2. Teri, this is wonderful! The detail would qualify it to be a field guide illustration.

  4. I really really like your pen and ink drawings. This one is great! I agree with Kate...it could easily be in a field guide.

  5. Beautifully done, I remember painting my sneezeweed last year, I loved them and sadly they did not return this year, I think they are in too much shade now with the yard growing up! Love your sketch!
