Feathers

Feathers by Teri DC
Feathers, a photo by Teri DC on Flickr.
I found these feathers when I was walking so I brought them home to paint. The one on the left was on the island at the lake so I'm guessing it belongs to a duck.
I found the reddish one hanging on a bush and have no idea where it came from. The shaft was broken so I'm not even sure how long it was.
Feathers are always fun to paint.
I cropped this from a journal page I am adding to everyday. The background is pre-painted.

  3. I like your feathers, Teri. I'm intrigued by the red one! It's seen better days, hasn't it?

  4. Based on other comments, I have decided that the red feather must be from something manmade like a hat or boa. I thank whoever lost it as it was so fun to paint.

  5. Ah Teri: Now you need to paint a lady of the night with her fabulous red boa!
