at a bus stop-ball point pen.Concetta Flore

I love ambiguity when it's the choice of style or technique that determines it.
This quick sketch of the trunk of a prunus (in poor health) and the light pole next to it, with all its rust and writings and traces of scotch from past notes, makes these two , the living and the dead, the natural and the artifact, look rather similar, doesn't it?

  1. Amazing that you managed such detail and gradients with a ballpoint pen! Interesting observation too.

    1. Sheryl, ball point pens allow great detail and good shading, provided they don't make those little blotches of sticky ink that ruin everything.
