Alfred's legacy

Been a long 12 days without power/heat/water for thousands in Connecticut from the affects of Nor'easter ALFRED, a freak October snow storm. Luckily we were not among them, the shoreline was somewhat spared (only 5" of heavy wet snow for us). With the news reports of Finally Finished from the power companies I had to journal a bit. As I left work I noticed the Full Beaver Moon hanging in the wet lavender twilight - through the power lines. We do love our Electricity.

  3. Weird weather Sandy, it seems to be all over. We've had a terrible heat wave early in our summer here in South Africa and NO rain yet. And 12 days without electricity is just so horrific! Glad you weren't hit so hard. Lovely sketch!

  8. This entry is a good reminder not to take stuff for granted. Love the details in the ugly electric wires/post.
