Sometimes we forget about the small things. I found this poor fellow clinging to a branch unable to fly after being totally battered by the hurricane. All I could do was document his demise.

I love dragon flies and sorry to see that this one did not make it thru the storm. The other day I found a very lethargic dragon fly in the grass. I set it on a flat surface and a few hours later saw that it had died. It did not experience any inclement weather as the east coast since this area is in the Northwest. I hope that the storm did not disrupt a lot of the wildlife during severe storm
So poignant, Paula...thank you. Beautifully done.

ReplyDeleteAh Paula, your sketch certainly touches on the not-so-often-thought-of wildlife and animals that also suffer during your storms...
ReplyDeleteOuch! A good reminder of one of the many effects of the storm.
