It seems flower-time for me - everywhere I look I find more and more flowers inspiring the artwork I spend my evenings with.

We found this purple vetch in the fields along the cattail ponds of one of our parks back home. I loved how the purple played against the light green of the grasses....I know that most folks find this a pesky weed, but those wonderful flowers were feeding a TON of bees and insects, and their color brightened the landscape so beautifully!

It's going to be another scorcher today -- we've heat advisories and most outdoor activities will need to be done long before noon.

Stay cool!

  1. Lin this is dreamy and lovely. You almost make me admire the "pesky weed" I've spent hours ripping out of flower beds. I promise to appreciate it and it's stubborn roots more!!!
