Super Moon


The Super Moon, or Lenten Moon - approximately every 18 years the full moon falls on its perigee - then the moon is at its closest proximity to the Earth appearing much larger than normal so as to appear 'super large'. It was a beautiful sight to see, and we only have to wait until 2016 for the next one.

    Ah, 2016 is not that far off! It really was the most astonishing sight here in South Africa as well Sandy. Lovely sketch!
