Cooley Lake, late winter

Cooley Lake, originally uploaded by Cathy (Kate) Johnson.
I really love this time of year, and having a relationship with a place like Cooley Lake, an old oxbow of the Missouri River. The migrating pelikans were too far away to sketch, but there were hundreds of geese--snows, blues, Canadas--and lots of smaller waterfowl, as well. Beautiful day...

  3. Thank you, both of you. For some reason I've sketched that same vantage point, again and again. I love it...
