Waterfowl
Sometimes I forget how much I like sketching with a ball point pen. I like the range of hard and soft line. I sketched these while my husband was photographing. The first duck, a green-winged teal didn’t stay long or else I might have sketched the whole duck. We moved on and pretty soon Dale was photographing a great blue heron …. So I picked the next handy duck, or rather, a Canada goose; and then the canvasback. All were sketched very lightly in pencil first and then I dove in with the ball point pen.

These are beautiful, Elva...ballpoint can make wonderful lines, can't it? And so glad you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteI also love a ballpoint pen, it is always handy and it makes a consistant line, these are wonderful! I must say that the instrument is only as good as the artist, these are masterfully drawn!
