Muir Woods

The Muir Woods Redwood forest of is well worth a visit. The woods are dark and moist with San Francisco's foggy air. The trees grow to almost 400 feet tall and over 2000 years old. Amazing adventure just across the Golden Gate Bridge. And the needle fronds are tiny like a hemlock and teeny tiny pine cones (actually propagate primarily through their spreading roots.)
