Midnight Nattering - Maree

“When the goose honks high, fair weather;
when the goose honks low, foul weather!”

- French Proverb

My neighbour's geese always choose the midnight hour to warn of some real (or imaginary!) danger and their honking and nattering seems to take on some extra urgency if I don't see my neighbour's lights go one as he checks what the commotion is all about.

This is what I imagine the midnight nattering looks like!

  3. Thank you Carol, but they really do drive me crazy some nights! And Solly's rooster insists on crowing exactly at 3.15am and the other neighbour's peacocks start lamenting at about 4am! I suppose you're wondering if I ever get any sleep?!
