I love these little guys! At only 6 1/2" long, they're the smallest woodpecker I know of.

He's found the suet feeder and seems happy to peck away at it.

This is my vintage Waterman 52 pen and Platinum Carbon Black ink...lovely effect, and it feeds smoothly. I understand carbon inks are not entirely recommended for fountain pens, so will clean it out occasionally. LOVE the pen and the variable line...

  1. Love this sketch! One of my favorites too. And they are not so shy as the larger ones, hanging out with the Nuthatches and Titmice.
