Mt. Charleston, near Las Vegas
We ran away to the mountains the second day we were out west...because of the severe fire danger, most of the campgrounds, picnic places, and pull-offs were closed, including The Meadow, which is where I'd planned to sketch. Finally arrived at the dead end turnaround above the ski area where there was room to pull over and sketch! Wonderful view there, anyway, though I didn't get to get many details...
Gloriously cool and fresh at 8000+ feet...the air was like incense.
