Window - Civita' di Bagnoreggio

I am never certain if scenes like this 'quite' fit this nature focused blog -- but to me, the nature I see and love includes not only the flowers and trees, but also the human element against which 'nature' is set.

While traveling in Italy, scenes of incredibly beautiful landscapes were everywhere - but even in the towns, nature found a foothold in gardens, flowered pots, windowsills. Here in a scene from Civita di Bagnoreggio, nature softens the ancient brick and barred windows of a dwelling - reminding me that nature can be wherever you find -- or bring -- it.

What do you think?

  4. What a delight to find another post from you. I really enjoy your images, and I second the suggestion for your to compile them into a book! I'd love to see them all in a book.

  5. I like the contrast of the human and the natural worlds too, especially when Mother Nature has worn and weathered the manmade elements. The shadows falling across the brick are just wonderful!
