AUTUMN GATHERINGS

A lovely autumnal walk with my daughter at Ramster garden yielded a collection of colourful leaves of which this is my favourite, drawn alongside some Camellia fruit.

  1. Very pretty. I wonder if this is the same camilla flower I used to have here -- sort of a waxy bloom that blooms very early in spring??

  2. Yes, i'm sure it is, I have Camellias that start flowering in January and last almost till April. Here in North Brittany they love the sea air and mild climate. By the beach there's a lovely avenue of alternating camellias and palm trees a strange combination but beautiful!

  3. Sounds like the same flower. One of my bushes was tucked in a warm corner next to the house and would bloom in January.
