We've just returned from a cruise to visit the cities of the Baltic and on our first day at sea I was privileged to witness a flock of gannets flying alongside our ship. I was sitting on our deck 10 balcony at just the perfect level when they came swooping by and stayed with us for over an hour. I'm sure they came to have a look at me too while I was studying them!
What an interesting encounter. Gannets are such elegant birds on the wing.
