.
. . a bit ahead of its peers. I noticed this leaf on the ground under
our Autumn Blaze maple, though no other leaves have even begun to turn
color yet. This is my favorite tree on our property.
I'm sure we will have _at least_ 6 more weeks of summer, though hopefully at a gentler temperature. Thought it very weird to see a colorful leaf so early.
Why do poison ivy leaves have to be so lovely? Wouldn't they look great in an arrangment of cut flowers? None of our other leaves have even begun to change --- which is why this one caught my eye.
It is a beautiful leaf .... but I'm not ready for fall. I want six more weeks of summer!

DeleteSo beautiful, Vicky! I've seen a few poison ivy leaves starting to turn, but not trees, yet...
