Greetings latecomers! from Maria Elena Ferrari Italy


Happy New Year to allThis is the first painting (January) of ​​a 2012 calendar made for the Regional Park of Curone and the Montevecchia Valley. This is a 
 wintering roost of owls (Asio otus), gouache on paper.

Yes I Observed owls these past few winters in the garden of a house in the town in Parma, near a busy road were also more numerous, many people went to see and photograph them during the day while they slept. Asio otus using congregate in the winter, the roost in the city are more than one, we recently had a report of 20 individuals outside the province on the same conifer (always within a garden of an apartment building) ... wonderful!
