Bubo virginianus.

Hope you like it!
Sketch made ​​directly from the live model in watercolor and gouache on paper.  
2 hour sketch with the challenge of capturing the right light that changes every minute. The model is a Bubo virginianus.
I paint this owl at the local zoo. :)
