I sketched this butterfly from a photo I took in the Butterfly house at the Tucson Botanical Gardens. Then I had to find out the name of it from Google: Paper Kite Butterfly.
I used tan paper to enhance the black and white look.
Love the contrast you've created with this piece, Teri. And lucky you to visit the garden. It's been many, many years since I was there and don't think they had the butterfly house at that time. What a perfect addition!
Love the colored background effect for this one Teri. Did you use colored pencils? And what a fun name for the butterfly!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Paula. I used Pitt pens- medium and brush and a Uniball Signo white ink pen.
ReplyDeleteThis is way cool Teri. I always forget to use oclored paper and it looks so good when you do it.
ReplyDeleteNormal look but still be very attractive
